Summer

While she’s still home

The Problem —

Your daughter took every college prep class.
But there's one class nobody signed her up for.

She knows how to cope when you're around

What she hasn't had a chance to build yet is what to do when you're not — how to sit with something hard, feel it, and know where to turn. That's not a gap in her character. It's a skill that's almost impossible to practice while she's still at home, because you're there, and of course she reaches for you.

The worry every mom carries quietly

You're her emotional 911. When something goes wrong, she calls you. And you pick up — because that's love, and it works perfectly right now. But she's about to leave. And the question that lives in the back of every mom's mind is: what happens when I'm not there to help her regulate?

Every girl deserves a full toolkit — not just one person

She deserves to leave home knowing how to handle hard things — not just survive them by calling the one person who always picks up. Real resilience isn't doing it alone. It's knowing how to feel hard things, and having a real community to turn to when she does.

You've been her emotional safety net.
But now it's time for her to learn
to build her own.

— The Gap Nobody Talks About

Every time she's overwhelmed, you notice. Every time she starts to spiral, you redirect her. Every time something hurts, she calls you — and you help her feel better. That's not a failure. That's a mom doing her job well.

But it means you've become her primary source of emotional regulation when things get hard. She has other tools — she manages at school, she navigates friendships. What she hasn't built yet is the ability to handle the big emotional moments without reaching for you first.

Right now she can handle her schedule, her grades, her responsibilities. What she's still building is the emotional toolkit she'll need when she's on her own — how to feel something hard and move through it. How to know what she needs and ask for it from the people around her. How to build a real community she can lean on — so she's not thrown into adulthood without the tools to emotionally regulate.

"Right now I can see her.
What happens when I'm not there?"

That worry starts at 16. It's not irrational — it's the most honest thing a mom feels when she realizes the clock is running. And it deserves a real answer. Not reassurance. Action. Now, while she's still home. While you still can.

Hi, I'm Laura.
I've sat with hundreds of moms
who carry this worry.

I'm a Teen & Parent Well-Being Coach based in Austin, Texas. I've spent years working with teen girls and their moms at exactly this moment — the one right before they leave home, when everything feels high-stakes and there's no roadmap for the emotional side of it.

I've worked 1:1 with college freshmen who are navigating homesickness, trying to find their people, and figuring out who they are with a whole new life of freedom in front of them. What I see again and again is this: they have a strong desire to stand on their own two feet. They don't want to feel like they "need" to call home. They'd rather figure it out themselves than admit they're struggling. The ones who thrive aren't the ones who do it alone — they're the ones who already know how to move through hard things, and have people around them they actually trust.

My own daughter is a senior heading to college next year. I know her — and I know she'd rather try to figure things out on her own than admit she's struggling with a challenge. That's exactly what Positively Healthy University was built for. A coaching program grounded in the science of how the brain actually works, where your daughter gets real skills, a real community, and me — personally — every single session.

— What’s Included

Everything in the program.

8 Live Coaching Sessions

Weekly group sessions on Zoom, led personally by Laura every Tuesday this summer. Real skills. Real conversation. Not passive video content.

Care Package

A fun swag delivery before the program starts. Because showing up matters, and so does celebrating her for it.

Her People

A private cohort of 10 girls in the same season. She practices building real emotional community — the kind she'll need to seek out and lean on when she's on her own.

Session Recordings

Every session recorded and shared. Miss a week and she won't fall behind — she picks right back up.

The Toolkit

How to feel something hard and move through it — without calling for backup. How to regulate her nervous system under pressure. How to know what she needs — and ask for it from the right people. Built on neuroscience, HeartMath®, and real life.

Bonus Mom Session

One dedicated session to give you the tools to stay close, stay connected, and cheer her on from wherever she lands.

The Science Behind the Program

— The Science Behind It

Nervous system regulation isn't one thing — it's a full set of skills. That image below shows four quadrants: body-based, mind-based, emotion-based, and support-based regulation. Most teen girls are strong in one — support-based. Talking it out. Co-regulating with someone they trust. Calling mom.

That's not wrong. Co-regulation is a real, healthy, science-backed tool. The problem isn't that she uses it — it's that it may be the only quadrant she's really developed. When the support-based option isn't available at 11pm in a dorm room, she needs the other three. Body-based tools to calm her nervous system. Mind-based tools to slow the spiral. Emotion-based tools to name what she's feeling and let it move through her instead of taking over.

The Four Quadrants Positively Healthy University Builds

Body-Based

— Breathwork, movement, grounding, rest

· Mind-Based

— Slowing thoughts, reframing, noticing patterns

· Emotion-Based

— Naming feelings, self-compassion, allowing feelings to settle

· Support-Based

— Building safe relationships beyond mom, knowing who to call and how to ask

That's the difference between a girl who calls mom every time something gets hard — and a girl who has a full toolkit and a real table of people. Both are connected. Neither is alone.

You gave her roots.
This is where she grows wings.

— For Moms

You love that she needs you. Of course you do. You've built something real with her — a relationship where she feels safe enough to fall apart with you. That's not a problem. That's 16 years of good work.

The goal isn't a daughter who doesn't need anyone. The goal is a daughter who's built her own table — and still wants you at it.

Your bonus session is where you learn how to step back without stepping away. How to stay genuinely connected as she becomes more independent. How to be in her corner without being the only one there. So when she leaves — this year or next — you're both ready.

Bonus Session - Just for Moms

How to Cheer Her On From Wherever She Lands

One dedicated session to give you the tools to stay close, stay connected, and support her growth without hovering. Understand what's happening in her brain during this season — and why it changes how you show up for her. Leave knowing how to love her well from a little further away.

The goal isn't a daughter who doesn't need anyone. It's a daughter who's built her own table — and still wants you at it.

— The Stakes

Two versions of what happens next.

x She calls you every time something goes wrong — because you're still the only one in her toolkit who really shows up for her

x She shuts down under pressure instead of knowing how to move through it

x She leaves without a real support network — just contacts in a phone and one person she actually trusts

x You spend the next few years worrying from a distance, not knowing how to help without taking over

x She never quite learns to trust herself — and you never quite stop worrying

Without the tools

She knows how to feel hard things and move through them — without needing rescue

She's built real community — people who show up, not just follow back

She knows what her nervous system needs and how to give it to herself

She calls you to share wins — not just to be talked down from a ledge

You watch her thrive — with peace, not worry. The job is done. Well.

FAQs

— Questions

  • Teen girls 16–18 who are getting closer to launch — whether that's next year or the year after. This is the right time to build these skills, while she's still home and you still have a front-row seat. It's for girls who are mostly okay, but whose moms are quietly wondering: does she know how to manage herself when I'm not there?

  • At this age, buy-in matters. A teen who shows up unwillingly won't get much out of it — and we'd rather you not spend $1,200 on that. That's why we offer a free intro call where she can meet Laura with zero pressure or commitment. Most girls who are skeptical going in are surprised by how much the content lands — because it's not about what's wrong with them. But she should choose it. Start with the intro call.

  • Yes. Every session, every week. No facilitators. No substitutes. When you enroll in Positively Healthy University, Laura is who your daughter gets — full stop.

  • Therapy focuses on the past. This is coaching — forward-looking, skills-based, and built for girls who are doing okay but want to do better. If your daughter is experiencing serious mental health challenges, we'd recommend a licensed therapist. This program works beautifully alongside therapy, but it isn't a replacement for it.

  • Every session is recorded and shared. Missing a week won't set her back — she picks right back up with the group.

  • Fill out the enrollment form, confirm by email, then submit payment to lock in the spot. You'll receive a welcome email with Zoom links, care package shipping details, and everything you need to get started. Spots are intentionally limited — small group means real relationships.

She's almost ready.
Give her the emotional toolkit to match.

Whether she leaves next year or the year after — the skills take time to build, and summer is the window. Give her the real tools, the real community, and the confidence to go out there and thrive.
